Every year Madeira is transforming into a Flower Festival. The spring coming always passes unforgettable – in the capital of Madeira are represented the most charming and amazing flowers. This tradition appeared in 1950s years, when it was proposed to organize an exhibition to show the variety of local flowers. The popularity of this event was growing so it was decided to transform it into a parade passing through the streets. Nowadays the festival goes off few days in the middle of April. Flower exhibition, installations, sculptures and carpets are represented there.
